Red Bull junior, Oliver Goethe has joined Campos for the 2024 F3 season.
Goethe spent his full rookie season with Trident in 2023 where he finished eighth in the championship with one win and a second-placed podium finish, which came at Silverstone and Bahrain Intenational Circuit respectively.
The 19 year-old London-born driver will now return to Campos for next season, having made his F3 debut as a stand-in driver with the Spanish team during which he scored 15 points in four races, plus reverse-pole for his debut Sprint Race in Hungary.
Speaking about his return to Campos, Goethe commented: “I am excited to be back with Campos Racing for a full season! They helped to make my entrance to FIA F3 as smooth as possible back in 2022.
“This year we completed a successful post-season testing programme and the Macau GP together which makes me feel positive about what’s coming next. My goal is to fight for wins and podiums from the start and be consistent. That’s what matters the most in this championship.”
Team Principal, Adrian Campos added: “It’s great to have Ollie joining Campos Racing for 2024. He is a very talented driver, who has showed great potential in the FIA Formula 3.
“Ollie made his debut in the series with us and he is now further stronger and experienced as already seen in Macau making an amazing recovery drive in such difficult urban circuit. Hopefully we have an exciting, successful campaign ahead together.”
Details of Goethe’s two teammates for next season will be confirmed in due course but Pepe Marti won’t remain in the third-tier, having been confirmed for F2 next season but staying with Campos after he enjoyed a strong F3 campaign this year.
Goethe’s former teammate at Trident, Leonardo Fornaroli meanwhile has confirmed that he will remain with the team for next season in F3.
