John Hennessey’s Dodge Demon 170 has been delivered just in time for Christmas. The car reached Hennessey Performance and the first thing the team did was to test it on the dyno.

The Dodge Demon 170 is powered by a revised 6.2-liter V8 engine with a 3.0-liter supercharger bolted onto it. Dodge claims a peak power output of 1025 hp @ 6500 rpm and 945 lb-ft of torque when running on E85. However, as per the dyno results, the engine makes 925 hp and 903 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Hennessey measured 1025 hp and 948 lb-ft at the crank.

The Demon 170 was running on E85 during the dyno run. According to Dodge, the overall output drops to 900 hp and 810 lb-ft on E10 fuel.

With so much grunt under the hood, the Dodge Demon 170 is no slouch. It is said to be the fastest-accelerating production car in the world. 0-60 mph comes up in 1.66 seconds and it takes 8.91 seconds to a 1/4 mile at 151.17 mph.
