Unifor workers at Integram Seating in Lakeshore, Ont., are on strike.

Local 444 represents the employees. President Dave Cassidy is telling workers to show up for their normal shifts but on the picket line. 

“Unfortunately we couldn’t get to an agreement so we’re at an impasse, so, officially Integram is on strike,” said local union president Dave Cassidy.

The Patillo Road factory produces seating used in vehicles assembled at the Stellantis plant in Windsor.

The facility is part of the Magna International manufacturing group.

Workers voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action earlier this fall.

They officially went on strike after midnight Wednesday.
