Kia India recently released a teaser video of their upcoming Sonet facelift SUV. The Kia Sonet has been a popular car in the sub-4 meter SUV segment since its launch. It was actually the second made-in-India product from Kia. We have come across several teaser images of the SUV in the last couple of days. The front and rear look of the SUV has been teased already, and now a brochure of the upcoming Sonet facelift has leaked online, sharing all the details related to the SUV.
The video has been shared by Adi Zone on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger shows a brochure of the 2024 Kia Sonet or Sonet facelift. The vlogger talks about the engine, variants, and features that Kia will offer with the SUV when launched. The first thing the vlogger talks about in this video is the engine options.
The Kia Sonet facelift will be offered with the same engine options. There will be a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine offered with a manual transmission. The 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine will come with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine will be offered with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox. The diesel version has now brought back the manual transmission that was stopped in the pre-facelift version.
The vlogger then talks about the variants, mentioning that they remain the same. The SUV will be available in Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line variants. The lower variant of the SUV will be offered with 15-inch steel rims with wheel caps. The variants with 16-inch steel rims get a wheel cap with a new design. The higher variants get 16-inch alloy wheels with the same design.
The interior of the SUV also gets updates. A tan-colored seat cover option has been added to the Sonet. Kia will also offer the Pewter Olive Green shade with the Sonet, the same shade available with the Seltos. In total, Kia will offer 8 monotone colors and 2 dual-tone options with the Sonet. The Xclusive Matte Graphite shade is limited to the X-Line variant only.
The brochure also displays the front and rear of the SUV. The Kia Sonet comes with a redesigned front-end featuring new headlamps. It appears that the higher variant of the Sonet would come with all-LED headlamps like the Seltos. The design of the LED DRLs has also been updated, making the SUV look a lot more aggressive from the front. The bumper of the SUV is expected to be redesigned as well. The LED DRLs extend into the tiger nose grille of the SUV. The fog lamps have also been…
At the rear, the Kia Sonet facelift gets redesigned tail lamps. The tail lamps are now all-LED, and the design resembles that of the Seltos and other models available in India and other international markets. We also know that Kia will offer a new digital instrument cluster and Level-1 ADAS features. The ADAS suite includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, forward collision avoidance assistance and warning, high beam assist, and lane-keeping assist.
