The Toronto Maple Leafs have loaned defensemen Max Lajoie to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, the team announced Wednesday.

Lajoie signed a two-way contract with the Leafs this off-season. He has played four games with the Leafs and 14 with the Marlies this season.

In 74 career NHL games, Lajoie has seven goals and eight assists with the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes and Leafs.

The Senators picked the Quebec City native, 26, in the fifth round (133rd overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
