London, Ont. police are investigating the discovery of human remains in the city’s northeast end on Thursday.

Officers arrived Thursday afternoon and remained at the scene as of early Friday afternoon

London, Ont. police are investigating the discovery of human remains in the city’s northeast end.

The discovery was made Thursday afternoon in a grassy, undeveloped patch of land northwest of the Highbury Avenue and Fanshawe Park Road intersection.

Officers responded to the area around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and remained at the scene as of early Friday afternoon.

Few details have been provided by police, including whether its believed foul play may have been involved.

The matter is being investigated by the major crime unit, police said.
