EGREMONT, Mass. (WWLP) – If you love outdoor adventures then you won’t have to go too far to enjoy one of the largest zipline tours in the country!
Catamount Mountain Resort in Hillsdale, New York will be opening a zipline tour this May that contains three dual zipline sections, including one that stretches more than 5,500 feet, just over one mile. You’ll be able to go up to 55 miles per hour down the mountain or if you prefer to go slower, the ziplines also have brakes.
The full zipline tour starts in New York and takes you across the state line to Egremont in the Berkshires. The tour takes an estimated two hours which includes safety instructions and being fitted in your harness. Some requirements include being older than 10, standing taller than 55 inches, and weighing between 50 and 260 pounds.
A chairlift brings riders to the top of the mountain. But according to their website, reservations are filling up fast. If interested in trying the largest zipline in the country, you can reserve a spot on their website.
