AUSTIN (KXAN) — No. 2 Texas had to fight to get back on the winning track Sunday but rallied from a 4-0 deficit to take out Louisiana 5-4 at McCombs Field.

The Ragin’ Cajuns plated four runs in the top of the first inning off Texas starting pitcher Mac Morgan, but the Longhorns answered with a run in their half of the frame plus three more in the second to tie it up.

Texas scored the eventual game-winning run in the fourth on a Katie Stewart single that plated Mia Scott.

Reese Atwood had another monster day at the plate, going 4 for 4 with two RBIs. She hit a two-run single in the second inning to tie the game after Ashton Maloney stole home. Stewart was 3 for 3 with two runs scored.
