When it comes to paints, one of the most beautiful looking ones is those that have the sleek matte finish. A few years ago, getting matte-finished paint was a novelty that was only offered with premium automobiles or with an aftermarket paint job. However, things have changed, and a few prominent automakers are now offering this beautiful finish on some of the most popular cars in the country. Skoda Slavia
Skoda India recently launched its popular mid-size sedan, Slavia’s Matte Edition in India. The company offers the top-of-the-line models with the new matte Carbon Steel exterior paint color. This new model has been priced with a starting price of Rs 15.52 lakh to Rs 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition comes available with two powertrain options. The first is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, and the other is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

Skoda Kushaq
Just like the Slavia, the Skoda Kushaq also recently received the Matte Edition model. The company has launched the Kushaq Matte Edition with a starting price of Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom). This exclusive paint option is Rs 40,000 more expensive than the standard variant. Just like the Slavia, this mid-SUV also comes equipped with the same powertrains. It also gets a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as options.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Edge Plus
The German carmaker Volkswagen also recently launched its own matte edition model for its immensely popular mid-size sedan, the Virtus. VW has launched the Virtus GT Edge Plus Matte Edition with a starting price of Rs 17.62 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.29 lakh for the GT DSG variant. The color name for the Virtus GT Edge Plus matte edition is also Carbon Steel Grey Matte.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Plus
Like all its siblings, the Volkswagen Taigun also gets the Carbon Steel Grey Matte paint. The VW Taigun GT Edge matte edition starts at Rs 21.77 lakh and goes up to Rs 23.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, just like the other VW and Skoda models, the Taigun mid-size SUV is also offered with the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
Kia Seltos X-Line
Kia India was one of the first automakers to start the matte finish trends in the country. The company recently launched the newest iteration of its popular mid-size SUV, Seltos, and with it, the company is offering a matte grey color. This color option is only offered on the X-Line variant of this SUV, which is the top-spec variant. It starts at Rs 19.60 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.30 lakh.
Kia Sonet X-Line
Following the footsteps of its elder sibling, the Kia Sonet also received the matte paint finish in its color offerings. Like the Seltos, this exclusive paint option is also offered with only the X-Line variants. The Sonet X-line variants are priced at Rs 13.89 lakh and Rs 14.89 lakh. Most likely, the upcoming Sonet facelift will also be offered with the same grey paint option. The exact dates for its launch have not been revealed as of yet.
Kia Carens X-Line
Earlier this month, Kia India also launched its MPV, Carens X-Line variants. The Carens X-Line takes the top spot in the lineup with prices starting at Rs 18.95 lakh and going up to Rs 19.44 lakh. This variant is Rs 54,000 more expensive than the equivalent standard variant. The new Carens X-Line variant gets new “Xclusive Matte Graphite” paint on the outside. Meanwhile, on the inside, it features the “Xclusive Two-Tone Black and Splendid Sage Green” theme.
