McLaren Artura hybrid supercar recalled over fire risk – The Supercar Blog
[ad_1]
The McLaren Artura is making headlines for all the wrong reasons once again. This time, the hybrid supercar has been recalled over a faulty fuel pipe that could result in a leak that could potentially cause a fire.
According to McLaren, 269 units of the Artura manufactured between July 17, 2022, and November 15, 2023, are said to have received faulty fuel pipes from one of McLaren’s suppliers.
The company stated that a manufacturing defect has resulted in the pipes performing poorly in “burst resistance tests”. It is said that the low-pressure fuel pipe could detach causing a blaze.
Fortunately, there haven’t been any untoward incidents involving a McLaren Artura reported so far.
