ALTAMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10) – You might know James Gardner Jr. better under his alter-ego, “The Train Doctor.” The Altamont resident has been collecting model trains since he was a little boy.
From his first train display on a converted ping-pong table to a layout that fills his entire baseball. Gardner says, grandpa – who sparked his love for locomotives – would be proud.
If you want to meet Gardner and learn more about the hobby, the Albany Train Show is set to take place Saturday, March 16 at the Polish Community Center. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Parking is free.
