Micah Parsons crushes Bart Scott for joking about Trevon Diggs’ injury

Micah Parsons lashed out at Bart Scott for trying to insert levity into Trevon Diggs’ season-ending injury.

Diggs, a star defensive back who is teammates with Parsons on the Cowboys, tore his ACL in practice earlier this week and is expected to miss the rest of the year.

On ESPN’s “First Take” on Friday, the panel was discussing the ramifications of the injury, and Scott played off of how Stephen A. Smith has spent years trolling the Cowboys faithful.

“This is a major, major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always said, ‘Just wait, something bad always happens,’” Scott laughed.

Former Steeler Ryan Clark interjected, “No, don’t start that, don’t start that.”

The joke likewise did not land with Smith, who said, “Hold up, I wouldn’t do that right now, in all seriousness. This is a season-ending injury so I’m certainly not gonna joke about that.”

On X, Parsons, the All-Pro Cowboys linebacker, quote-tweeted a video of the segment and hammered Scott.

“Wtf ?? He ole hating ass old head!! Lame asf!! This why I really don’t like talking to dudes in the media!! As a former player you are a lame asf bro! Just facts joking bout a man trying to feed his family and building a legacy! ESPN gotta stop letting corn balls on tv!!” Parsons wrote.

Diggs, who turned 25 this week, is a two-time Pro Bowler and was an All-Pro in 2021.

He signed a five-year deal worth up $97 million with the Cowboys this past offseason.

Diggs suffered the injury during one-on-one drills in practice.

“You hate to see it with any of your players,” Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy told 105.3FM the Fan in Dallas on Friday.

“Just the outpour of concern for him. He was playing off the charts, and that’s the way he practices, too. Obviously [it’s] a big blow.

“Your heart goes out to Trevon. You just make sure he feels the love and support, and we’ve gotta keep moving forward.”
