Mike Lindell makes a big comeback

[ad_1]

Mike Lindell, the CEO and founder of MyPillow, has returned to live TV selling amid financial struggles linked to his support of Donald Trump and the former president’s election fraud claims.

Lindell’s promulgation of election fraud allegations has led to him being sued by two voting machine companies that accuse him of defaming their reputations. Dominion Voting Systems alone is looking to get $1.3 billion from Lindell in damages.

The effort to fund his legal defense in the cases has reportedly pinched his finances, and he has said recently that they have put him in a precarious financial position to the point that he has struggled to pay his lawyers. The lawyers have reportedly stopped working for him after his failure to pay them “millions of dollars.”

Meanwhile, his company has suffered the loss of business partnerships with the likes of Walmart and Bed Bath & Beyond, which stopped selling his products.

Newsweek contacted Lindell by email through MyPillow for comment.

On Friday, Lindell appeared on a livestreamed portion of MARKET!, an e-commerce platform, to sell his products.

On YouTube, the platform said, “Get ready for an exclusive double-feature event as Mike Lindell returns to the live selling on MARKET! Join us for two back-to-back sessions packed with insights, innovation and inspiration. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a renowned expert and leader.”

“Hold on, I froze up, I haven’t been on live TV for over four years, now,” Lindell said after being introduced. “It’s been 20 years ago, everybody, that I invented MyPillow, and it took over a year to invent.”

The appearance came a few days after Lindell implored his supporters to help fund his efforts in connection with what he described as election monitoring.

On Monday, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), he urged his folowers to donate to help “secure” elections that were taking place on Tuesday.

In the past, Lindell said he had run out of money to finance the effort to protect elections from unsubstantiated threats of vote rigging. Investigations into claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump have produced no evidence.

Last year, a group of Republicans that included legal experts concluded that the election had not been “stolen.” Their report looked into the election fraud claims made by Trump and his supporters.

Lindell has soldiered on in his efforts to “secure” voting at the polls and has put out calls for “resources now to get this to the finish line,” he said Monday on X.

During his MARKET! appearance on Friday, he illustrated what he thought was the best way to use the MyPillow.

“Everybody wants a soft pillow, but you want it to stay there,” he said. “In these times that we are in now, everybody needs the best sleep ever with what we are facing.”
