GO buses will replace trains between West Harbour GO and Oakville GO this weekend, according to Metrolinx.

The company said in a media release GO train service will end on Friday at 10 p.m., and will resume Monday morning.

Oakville Transit will be running hourly shuttles to and from Oakville GO for customers wishing to access Appleby GO or Bronte GO stations.

Also, the Friday 10:50 p.m., train to Niagara Falls GO will be adjusted to start at Aldershot GO.

Metrolinx recommends customers travelling to Niagara Falls from Union Station should take the 10:17 p.m., Lakeshore West train to connect with the Niagara Falls bound train departing at Aldershot GO.

Metrolinx says this weekend’s change in service is due to maintenance work on a few projects including:

  • Track maintenance and work on bridges between Mimico GO and Union Station.
  • Infrastructure upgrades for Ontario Line work at Exhibition GO.
  • GO Expansion improvements and work on the Hazel McCallion Line project, formerly Hurontario light rail transit.
