CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Clifton Park Man was arrested on Sunday after a brief standoff and allegedly holding a victim against their will with a knife, according to New York State Police. Nicholas Lamboy, 54, faces multiple charges.
On Sunday, around 10:19 p.m., police received a complaint where a victim in Clifton Park reported Lamboy threatened them with a knife and held them against their will. Troopers say the victim eventually left the home unharmed and reported the incident to Clifton Park State Police.
Troopers and investigators responded to the home to interview Lamboy. Troopers say Lamboy was uncooperative, did not exit the home, and armed himself with a rife. Lamboy allegedly approached troopers at that time.
After a brief standoff, police say Lamboy put the firearm down and was taken into custody after resisting arrest. Police say the firearm involved was seized and contained an illegal high-capacity magazine.
Charges:
- Menacing an officer
- Criminal possession of a weapon (two counts)
- Unlawful imprisonment
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Second-degree menacing
- Resisting arrest
- Second-degree harassment
Lamboy was taken to Clifton Park State Police for processing. He was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court and is held at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond.
