ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Cohoes woman was arrested for allegedly stealing from her employer, according to New York State Police. Cynthia Peltier, 41, was charged with first-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny.
Troopers reported receiving a complaint from a business in the Empire State Plaza in Albany on March 20 at about 1 p.m., prompting an investigation. Police say the investigation determined Peltier was an employee of the business who allegedly cashed multiple unauthorized forged checks from the business to her personal bank account from January to March.
Peltier allegedly stole more than $13,000. She was arraigned at Albany City Court and released.
