Edmonton Oilers forward Dylan Holloway is expected to be out “longer term” with an injury, head coach Kris Knoblauch revealed Tuesday.
Holloway left Monday’s win over the Islanders after sliding hard into the boards in the second period.
“I don’t know specifically, I think it will be longer term, but how long we’re not sure,” Knoblauch said.

Holloway has one goal in 14 games this season.
In other Oilers news, Connor Brown may return to the lineup this week after a positive outing at practice Tuesday. Brown has missed the past five games with some knee tightness.
“I’m definitely close,” Brown told reporters when asked if he’ll be in the lineup Wednesday against the Kraken. “I leave those decisions up to medical staff. I feel very fortunate with the staff that we have here, the kind of hill that they’ve helped me climb here to get back to feeling as good as I do. If not tomorrow, I’m really close.”
