Over 4,000 pounds of meth seized in Southern California

A multi-agency investigation led to the seizure of more than 4,000 pounds of methamphetamine this week in West Covina and unincorporated Riverside County, authorities said Friday.
Teams from the Riverside Sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and West Covina Police Department combined Wednesday while tracking the transportation and sales of methamphetamine, officials stated in a news release.
“The cooperative effort led to the seizure of 4,038 pounds of methamphetamine,” the Riverside Sheriff’s Office said.
No information was provided about any arrests or charges related to the operation.
The investigation was ongoing but no additional details were provided.
