Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam fined for speeding in his Audi A5

Speeding is an offense that no one should commit, no matter how popular or influential they are. The reason for this is that nobody is above the law, and this was recently proven by a police officer who fined Babar Azam for speeding. Yes, Babar Azam, the popular Pakistani cricketer and the current captain of Pakistan’s cricket team in all formats, was recently fined for overspeeding in his Audi A5 Sportback sedan in Pakistan, and a picture of him with the police officer fining him became viral on the internet.
The picture showcased Babar Azam alongside a police officer talking to him during the fining incident. It has been reported that the 28-year-old cricketer was overspeeding in his white Audi A5 Sportback sedan and was caught by the Punjab Motorway Police. According to the reports, this time around, Babar Azam has been levied with a fine; however, the exact amount for the fine has not been reported.

This is not the first time that the Pakistani cricketer has been caught by the police. Sometime ago, Babar Azam was also caught by the police authorities for driving one of his vehicles without proper license plates. In that particular incident, he was allowed to go without any fine. But in this recent bust, he was asked to pay a fine by the police officer who caught him speeding on the Pakistani national highway.
As for the car in which the Pakistani cricket team captain was caught, it was an Audi A5 Sportback sedan. This sedan is one of the most unique offerings from the German luxury carmaker Audi. It features a slanted notchback design in the rear, which is different from standard sedans. It has a much sportier look and sits below the Audi A7 Sportback in the lineup.
In the Indian market, the Audi A5 Sportback only comes powered by a diesel engine. It features a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces a maximum of 188 Bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch Tiptronic transmission. The Audi A5 Sportback can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 235 km/h. The Audi A5 has a front-wheel-drive setup.
Babar Azam’s family gifted him an Audi e-Tron GT RS
Just a few weeks ago, a video of Babar Azam’s family surprising him with the brand new Audi e-Tron GT RS was shared by Babar Azam’s brother on his YouTube channel – Faisal Azam Vibes. In the surprise gift video, Babar Azam’s brother, Faisal Azam, was seen handing him the keys to his brand new electric sedan from Audi. Coincidentally, this is the same sedan that Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli owns.
The Audi e-Tron GT RS comes available in two variants in India. The first is the e-Tron GT S variant, and the other is the RS; both of the cricketers own the more expensive RS variant. This variant of the EV sedan comes equipped with an electric motor at both the front and rear axles; the e-Tron GT RS gets an all-wheel drive.
The two electric motors of the Audi e-Tron GT sedan are capable of producing a maximum power of 637 bhp and 830 Nm of torque. As for the battery, this EV sedan comes equipped with an 84 kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides a maximum range of 472 km. The one that Babar Azam has received is priced at Rs 2.16 crore in India. However, in Pakistan, this same vehicle costs Rs 8.1 crore in Pakistani Rupees.
