She looked incredible in a quirky brown checked coat with a matching hat and styled her blonde mane down to frame her face.

The most noticeable thing about her though was that she didn’t wear any make-up at all.

And it caught the attention of many, including Jamie Lee Curtis, who called it “an act of courage and rebellion” against the pressures of the current beauty standards.

But what, exactly, is Pamela’s secret to looking youthful?

Well it turns out it’s very, very simple – all she really takes into account is how well hydrated her skin is.

Besides using a humidifier in dry climates, she said: “A healthy rose water spray is the perfect toner and pick-me-up.”

Speaking to Elle, the author explained that she keeps hers in the fridges and uses it every time she goes in there for a drink or bite to eat.

While she didn’t reveal the specific brand she uses, there are some very affordable options to choose from – including Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater.

The spray is just £5 from online retailer Cult Beauty and the description reads: “Whether spritzed for a hydrating boost or mid-day pick-me-up, Mario Badescu’s cult-favourite facial spray helps revive dehydrated skin anytime, anywhere.”

And this is a product that must be kept in the refrigerator too.

When it comes to how to use it, the product manufacturers wrote: “Mist onto face, neck, or hair as needed. Use it to infuse more hydration before or after applying moisturiser, as a pick-me-up on the go, or post-makeup application to give skin a dewy finish.”

If you’re wondering why Pamela went from ultra glam to taking on a more natural approach to beauty, we’ve got the answer to this too.

She told the publication that her perspective on beauty changed following the death of her make-up artist Alexis Vogel, who passed away in 2019 from breast cancer.

Explaining that Alexis was “the best”, she said that it felt like a better option for her to simply not wear it.

She added that ditching it has been “freeing and fun and a little bit rebellious too”.
