Person ran over by SamTrans bus in Redwood City after tripping

(KRON) — A pedestrian is seriously injured after they tripped in front of a SamTrans bus and were run over in Redwood City on Friday night, SamTrans confirmed to KRON4. The victim’s legs were run over, and SamTrans described their injuries as serious.

The crash happened at about 6:43 p.m. at the Sequoia Caltrain Station in Redwood City.

According to SamTrans, the pedestrian was trying to catch the bus when they tripped and the bus’ back wheels ran over their legs. The victim was taken to Stanford Hospital.

The Caltrain station will be closed until about midnight. Bus routes that stop at the station will stop on El Camino Real until it reopens.
