London police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead inside a unit at an apartment building on Proudfoot Lane Thursday afternoon.

Police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead in an apartment building in west London on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the bodies were found inside a unit on the sixth floor of the building at 565 Proudfoot Lane at about 4 p.m.

There is no word on the cause of death, but police said the two knew each other.

Police said there is no risk to public safety.

Residents of the building said they didn’t know what happened, but that there was a large police presence at the building Thursday afternoon. 

The identities of the deceased have not been released.

The London police Major Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate.
