DENVER (KDVR) — The Westminster Police Department said officers were searching for at least one suspect in a shooting Saturday evening.
Police said it happened near 92nd Ave. and Federal Blvd.
One man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Southbound Federal Blvd. was closed and 92nd Ave. was open.
Police were asking the public to avoid the area as officers searched for possibly two suspects. Police said K-9 units from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and WPD were searching the area.
At 8:35 p.m., police said they were unable to locate any suspects and they believe the suspects had left the area.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 303-658-4360.
