MANILA, Philippines–Powerhouse Creamline outclassed newcomer Strong Group with a 25-13, 25-13, 25-19 on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena for solo lead in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.
With coach Sherwin Meneses having the leeway to once again rotate his personnel, Bernadeth Pons accepted the challenge to lead the Cool Smashers with 12 points on 10 attacks and two aces.
The Cool Smashers stayed undefeated and notched their fourth consecutive victory.
“Satisfied naman ako sa galaw ng mga players ngayon. Talagang nag-trabaho sila para makuha yung panalo,” Meneses said.
“Hindi nila tinignan kung sino yung kalaban nila, yun naman yung importante. Maganda naman yung nilaro ng team,” he added.

It was the second straight game where Creamline had the luxury to maximize all of its players after doing the same when it defeated lowly Galeries Tower in another sweep previously.
Meneses unleashed his usual starters in the second frame and buried Strong Group thanks to a blistering 15-1 run.
Tots Carlos, Alyssa Valdez and Bea de Leon, who started for the first time for Creamline, took turns in finding holes in Strong Group’s defense as Valdez added nine points on eight attacks and an ace.
“Step by step muna kami. Yung improvement naman manggagaling sa training eh so dun muna kami naka-focus,” Meneses said.
“Sabi nga sa amin ni coach na huwag kami magpabaya. Kahit sino kalaban namin, huwag kami maging kampante at maglaro lang kami kung ano kailangan namin gawin,” Pons said. “’Yun lang, naglaro lang kami at nag-enjoy lang sa loob,” she added.

Creamline aims to continue its dominance on Saturday against Chery Tiggo, which is coming off a shock loss to Farm Fresh, in Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
Strong Group, which slumped to a 0-4, faces another tough assignment in Cignal on March 19 at FilOil EcoOil Arena.
