MANILA, Philippines — F2 Logistics earned its first winning streak in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) second All-Filipino Conference after pouncing on the embattled Gerflor, 25-10, 25-16, 25-14, on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

Ara Galang led the way for the Cargo Movers with 11 points including three blocks on top of 11 digs, and three excellent receptions. Ivy Lacsina and Aby Maraño chipped in 10 points each, while Jolina Dela Cruz added nine markers.

F2 Logistics rose to the sixth seed tied with Cignal with identical 4-2 records ahead of their duel with league leader Creamline on Tuesday next week at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“Of course, it’s a good boost for the team for the next game with the defending champions, but I told them that this is good preparation for the next game, and we cannot be complacent,” said F2 Logistics coach Regine Diego.

Coming off a tight five-set win over Farm Fresh, Diego said that they have to continue respecting their opponents even though they were facing another winless squad, Gerflor, which is currently dealing with financial problems.

“Lastly, it is essential to respect the opponent, not just react based on who you’re playing against. I told them that if they get too close to their opponents, it means they are not respecting them,” Diego said.  “Against all teams, if we can create a significant lead in the score, not just against Gerflor but also against other teams, I want to see how others will perform because, of course, they are also part of the team.”

The Defenders remained winless in six games as the PVL is currently investigating the alleged mishandling of the management.

Danika Gendrauli had 11 points, including nine attacks and two aces for Gerflor, which battles Farm Fresh also on Tuesday at the Big Dome.
