A tractor-trailer first caught fire Tuesday morning near Eastport Drive, according to the Ministry of Transportation.
Schmidt said the truck collided with a concrete wall, causing a fuel leak, and then fire consumed the truck and its cargo — insulation.
The ministry said a separate collision nearby, on the Toronto-bound QEW at Woodward Avenue, had also closed several lanes.
Schmidt said Tuesday the incidents did not cause injuries.
