Gritters set to take to the roads in Bolton TONIGHT as temperatures begin to plummet

A full route grit will get underway in Bolton tonight, Friday, at 7pm, says Bolton Council.
According to the Met Office, temperatures in the borough are set to drop to 4°C tonight with frost predicted in some areas.
Tomorrow the temperature is predicted to fall to 2°C with maximum temperatures of 5°C.
Across the North West, some showers will continue, gradually easing overnight to allow for clearer spells to develop.

The weather will turn colder with some patchy frost forming under the clearest skies.
Predicting the weather for Saturday, a spokesperson from the Met Office said: A largely fine day with plenty of sunny spells throughout.
“Winds remaining light with similar temperatures to Friday though cold overnight with another patchy frost. Maximum temperature 7 °C”.
