‘Well-respected’ retailer wins HUGE award at prestigious event

Reid’s of Milngavie scooped Fashion & Accessories Retailer of the Year at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards 2024.
The ceremony took place at Glasgow’s Doubletree by Hilton on Wednesday, April 10.

The event aims to celebrate the achievements of independent retailers across Scotland who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, and outstanding customer service.
According to the store’s website, the ‘well-respected family business’, was established in 1875.
The shop says they ‘pride’ themselves in being ‘one of the only premier independent retailers of quality leather goods in the central belt’.
The store, which is based on Main Street in the town, took to social media to celebrate the accolade after the event.
In the post, Reids of Milngavie said: “We brought home the win for the second year in a row!
“Thank you so much to all our fabulous customers and friends who have taken the time to vote for us!
“What a great night and well done to all the other winners.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Independent Retail Awards said: “The Scottish Independent Retail Awards have always strived to recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements of independent retailers.
This year’s winners have exemplified excellence in their sectors and have played a pivotal role in enhancing Scotland’s retail industry.
