Kate Middleton seen with strapped up fingers on surprise prison visit

Kate made light of her injury though as she told a couple it was her own fault as she had been “jumping around on the trampoline” and said the strapping was to keep her fingers safe.
On her right hand, the forefinger and middle finger were taped together after an accident that Kensington Palace described as “a small injury, nothing serious”.

Kate was sniffed by a drug detection dog as she sat on a chair.
Kate met Penny the black Labrador as she followed security protocols at the Category C prison to understand the procedures followed by families and friends visiting inmates.
As she went through an entrance used by around 2,000 visitors a month, she was shown Penny’s reaction when something is found.
Kate said: “Amazing. It’s incredible, it’s very calm and controlled. It’s not intimidating.”
The Princess of Wales is patron of addiction charity The Forward Trust and visited the prison in Sutton, Surrey to learn about its work helping prisoners recover from addiction.
She met serving prisoners on her visit to the prison and spoke to some who are training in hospitality.
Addiction Awareness Week is in October and this year’s theme Everybody Knows Somebody aims to highlight the range of people in society affected by the issue.
