Police say they made multiple arrests after ‘drugs and firearms’ found on warrants

Multiple people ‘were arrested’ after officers acted on intelligence from members of the public and attended at properties in Farnwroth and New bury.

Officers from the Bolton South Neighbourhood Team recovered a large amount of class A and B drugs as well as weapons including a firearm.

A police spokesperson said: “Multiple people have been arrested as a result and investigations are ongoing to aid us in cracking down on these types of serious and dangerous crimes.”

Earlier this week a man was arrested after a cannabis farm was found in Horwich. 

Police from the Bolton West team and the force tactical aid visited industrial unit on Catherine Street East after they were given intelligence.

During the warrant, a man was arrested on suspicion of ‘cultivation of cannabis’ and ‘abstracting electricity.’
