Person taken to hospital following incident in County Durham village

There has been a large police presence in Ingleton all day after emergency services were called to the scene.
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed that they had a call out this morning at 7am.
One crew was dispatched and one patient was taken for further treatment at hospital.
A police presence has been maintained on Front Street all day.

Pictures from the scene show a Crime Scene Investigation Unit on the street.
One local spotted a van outside at 8.40am and then again when they passed back through the village at 13.25pm.
There was a larger police presence in the afternoon as multiple vans were pictured at the scene.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to an incident at a private address in Ingleton at 7.13am on 9 October.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew and transported one patient to hospital for further treatment.”
