Driver arrested for driving offences after reportedly ‘not wearing seatbelt’

It comes as officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team continue to try and make Bolton roads safer.
Police say they saw a vehicle on Bury New Road and after stopping the vehicle the driver allegedly had no licence and they found drugs in the vehicle.
The driver has now remains in police custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton North said: “As we continue to make Bolton’s roads safer, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have made an arrest.
“Earlier today, officers saw a vehicle on Bury New Road with the driver not wearing a seatbelt.
“The driver has now been arrested for all those offences and remains in police custody for questioning.”
