Yellow weather warnings as wind and rain set to hit Southampton

The Met Office has issued yellow weather alerts for Southampton on Wednesday and Thursday this week as strong winds and rain from Storm Ciarán are set to batter the South.
The first warning for rain lasts between 6pm on Wednesday and 12pm on Thursday and covers Southern England and South Wales.
A second warning for wind will be in place between midnight on Wednesday to 6pm the next day.

The Met Office has warned that delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possibl and that homes and businesses could be flooded.
Fast flowing or deep floodwater is also possible, causing a danger to life with a slight chance that damage could occur, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down.
While there are a number of rain warnings in place on Monday and Tuesday for other parts of the UK in the lead-up to Storm Ciarán.
Parts of the UK are still recovering from the last storm – Storm Babet – which battered towns, villages and cities all over the country earlier this month.
