The Arkansas Razorbacks are hiring now former Kentucky Wildcats coach Jon Calipari for the team’s head coaching position, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Calipari is expected to finalize a five-year deal in the next 24 hours, Thamel reports.
Calipari had been at Kentucky for 15 seasons and in that time he amassed 533 wins, which ranks second in school history.
Calipari led the Wildcats to the Final Four on four separate occasions and won the national championship in 2012.
In 2015, Kentucky brought a perfect record into the Final Four, but were defeated by Wisconsin one game short of the championship.
