ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. It is meant to empower people with autism to reach their full potential and connect with others.
A local program found a unique way to spread that message to the community. Bring on the Spectrum, a community space for neurodiverse individuals in Albany, created a new, reusable bag design.
The final product is a combination of drawings from multiple students showcasing what Bring on the Spectrum means to them.
“Our image is all about the heart because we like to lead with love and inclusion,” Bring on the Spectrum founder Lisa Audi said.
Students said they enjoyed being part of a team. Bring on the Spectrum opened two years ago. The founder is now focused on increasing outreach and bringing more people into their community.
