Greg Schiano extends contract with Rutgers through 2030

Rutgers likes what it has in head football coach Greg Schiano, and who could blame the Scarlet Knights?
Sure, they finished the 2023 regular season at just 6-6, but they’re bowl eligible for the first time since 2021 (they’ll play Miami in the Pinstripe Bowl) and Schiano is the schools all-time coaching wins leader.
Now in his second stint with the program after coaching Rutgers to a 68-67 record from 2001-11, Schiano boasts a 86-95 all-time record at Rutgers and he’s 5-2 in bowl games.
Rutgers may not be prime Georgia, but Schiano has made this program relevant more times than not. As such, the school has extended Schiano through 2030.
