Luka Doncic was in a generous mood on Christmas. He gave the Phoenix Suns all they could handle…and then some.
The 24-year-old superstar hung a cool 50 points on the Mavs’ Western Conference rival and dished out 15 assists in Dallas’s 128-114 win. It was just the fourth time that a player has scored 50 or more points in a Christmas Day game. Doncic is in the midst of his best season, which is saying something for his lofty standards. His 33.5 PPG trail only Joel Embiid, and his 9.4 APG currently rank third. Since joining the Mavs, Luka has been a mainstay in the MVP conversation. If he keeps playing like he did on Monday, this could be the season he finally takes home the hardware.
