Patrol officers discovered a man’s body in the alley behind a shuttered apartment building at 333 Ave. R South on Tuesday.

Saskatoon police are investigating a suspicious death near St. Paul’s Hospital.

Police were called to a shuttered apartment building at 333 Ave. R South just before 9 a.m. CST on Tuesday. Patrol officers discovered the man in the alley behind the building.

Police said in a news release that the death is suspicious. They did not say how the man died.

Officers used sawhorses to block access to both ends of the street and the alley for much of the day.
