Sharper look coming for Kia EV6 electric car

A Kia EV6 prototype has been spied wearing an aggressive new look, ahead of an expected reveal next year.
The heavily camouflaged vehicle was captured by Woopa TV in a car park in Korea.
It appears there have been changes to the headlight design, with a more aggressive V shape highlighted by the daytime running lights.
Inside the assembly there are also two blocky lighting units, while other changes visible up front include a restyled bumper.
The updated EV6 is expected to feature a range of new wheel designs, including the star-shaped examples seen on this prototype.
It’s hard to tell if Kia will make any changes to the vehicle past the C-pillar as the fabric camouflage gets in the way.
However, we can see the tail lights appear similar to those of the current model.
The interior is completely covered up but it’s expected some minor changes will occur here to bring the EV6 closer to its EV5 and EV9 siblings.
Woopa TV suggests the facelifted EV6 could be revealed towards the end of this year but says it’s more likely to be early next year.
According to VFACTS figures, Kia has sold 1147 EV6s between January and September 2023, a 136 per cent increase over the same period in 2022.
Kia said in August supply had improved of the Tesla Model Y rival out of its Korean plant, with wait times slashed to just 2-3 months.
The Kia EV6 range starts from $72,590 before on-road costs for the entry-level Air and extends to $99,590 before on-road costs for the flagship EV6 GT AWD.
