TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Some local students had the chance to see what it is like to respond to an emergency. Hudson Valley Community College hosted simulations for more than 100 students in some of their health sciences programs on Wednesday.
They practiced responding to a range of scenarios, including a car crash, house fire, and an overdose. Participants said it was a valuable learning experience.
“This is going to happen to us as nurses, and experiencing that, I think, that’s a great help for us to see what our future looks like,” student Marina Bondari said.
Clifton Park-Halfmoon Ambulance provided specialized equipment and an ambulance for the event. This is the fourth time HVCC has hosted the simulation.
