The camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has been opened in Uyo for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifcation game vs Lesotho. SportsRation reports.
Recall that the teams head coach Jose Peseiro stormed Uyo in company of his foreign assistants; Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo on Sunday November 12 to begin preparations for the game.
The Super Eagles camp will come alive from Monday November 13 as invited players arrive for the FIFA World Cup qualification opening fixture.
The player, SportsRation gathered will arrive in camp on Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday, eight players are expected In Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and will be received at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Fifteen others will join up on Tuesday November 14 to complete the squad for their first training session ahead of the match.
Of the twenty-three invited players, twenty-two will be flying into Nigeria from Europe while Enyimba FC skipper Ojo Olorunleke is the only home based member of the squad and should be one of the early birds in camp.

The last time the Eagles gathered in Uyo, Sao Tome and Principe were ruthlessly dispatched 6-0 in a final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.
Three days after hosting Lesotho, the Eagles will fly to Huye where they will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Matchday two of the World Cup qualifying series.
Nigeria missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted by Qatar after a playoff loss to Ghana and so will eye a win over the Crocodiles of Lesotho to send message to other group A opponents Zimbabwe, South Africa, Benin Republic and Rwanda.
