Finally, after waiting and spotting test mules for months, Tata Motors has released the official teasers for the upcoming facelifted Tata Harrier and Safari in India. The company recently announced that the bookings for these SUVs will commence from the 6th of October, and today is that day. Now, in order to entice the interested customers even more, the company has released two new teasers for both of these SUVs as well. The teasers show very clear glimpses of both of these upcoming SUVs.

Tata Harrier facelift new teaser

Tata Motors, on its official YouTube channel Tata Motors Cars, first shared the teaser of the Harrier facelift. The small 20-second teaser showed the SUV’s silhouette and updated design cues from a close-up shot. The first thing that can be immediately noticed is that the rear taillights have been changed. These new all-LED units now boast a Z-shape and have small rectangles placed in line. The top of the taillight is also LED, and it can be noted that it will be connected with the taillight on the other end.

Next up, the teaser clearly shows the front end of the forthcoming Harrier facelift. It looks as imposing as the outgoing model, but it now features a lot more modern aesthetics. Just like the rear end, the front end also gets a connected LED DRL which sits atop a brand new front bumper.

Another one of the biggest highlights of this front end is the new vertical placement of the LED headlights. The lower grille of the new Harrier facelift reminds us of the new Nexon’s lower front grille. At the moment, the company has only showcased the exterior in the teasers, which indicates that a teaser for the interior could be on its way.

Tata Safari facelift new teaser

Soon after launching the Harrier facelift teaser on YouTube, the company also shared the teaser for its bigger sibling, the new Safari facelift. The teaser for the Safari facelift, like the Harrier, first showed the rear LED taillights which will now be connected via an LED strip in the middle. The design of the taillight itself looks brand new and fully updated.

Additionally, the teaser video also shows the LED headlights at the front. Similar to the ones in the Harrier, these will also be vertically stacked and will come equipped with full LED lights. The Safari facelift’s teaser also reveals the brand new design of the front grille. From what we can observe, it appears that the grille will get small elements finished in the body color of the vehicle. Additionally, it will also get a similar lower grille and a brand-new front bumper like the Harrier.

The Tata Safari teaser video also highlights the side profile of the vehicle, which the Harrier teaser did not show. From the video, the all-new petal-shaped diamond-cut alloy wheels with some intricate design elements can be noted on the side of the car. The silhouette of the Safari remains the same as the outgoing model; however, combined with the connected LED DRL, new grille, and new alloy wheels, it takes the appearance of this SUV to a whole new level.

Most likely both of these new facelifted SUVs will come equipped with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine. This time-tested engine was recently updated earlier this year to comply with BS-6 stage-II emission norms. Currently, there are rumors that have been floating around that state Tata Motors may offer a new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which was showcased by Tata Motors at the 2023 Auto Expo. Now whether if this is true will be only found after the company launches these SUVs which could be taking place soon.
