[ad_1]
Tata is all set to unveil its all-new electric vehicle, the Punch.ev, to the world. The electric micro SUV will be unveiled tomorrow, and a day before its official unveiling, the brand opened bookings for the same. You can officially book the upcoming Punch.ev by paying Rs 21,000. You can get in touch with the dealership or do it online as well. After a set of official images of the upcoming SUV surfaced online, Tata has now released an official video that gives a glimpse of the SUV from the outside.
The video has been shared by Tataev on their official YouTube channel. As we already know, Tata now treats its electric vehicles separately and has started an EV-specific retail chain and showrooms for them. They recently inaugurated the country’s first electric vehicle showroom. They established not one, but two dealerships in the Delhi NCR region. The upcoming Tata Punch.ev is also likely to be sold via these EV-only dealerships.
Coming back to Punch.ev, the design of the micro SUV remains the same as the regular Punch. However, the manufacturer has made some changes to the car to differentiate it from the ICE version. For example, the front grille is completely closed, and the Tata logo on the front is actually the lid to access the charging port of the EV. The connecting LED bar at the front is similar to what we have seen in other Tata cars that were recently launched. The LED bar will also have a welcoming feature. The headlamps are placed on the bumper, and they are now LED units. Higher variants also come with the option of fog lamps with a cornering function.
The side profile of the micro SUV remains the same as the ICE version. It comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, we can see the Punch.ev badge on the tailgate. Other than this, there are no other visible changes to the SUV at the rear. The Tata Punch EV would offer features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new UI, a frunk, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, multiple voice assistants, ventilated leatherette front seats, an inbuilt air purifier, an electric sunroof, multi-mode regen, a jeweled control knob for the LR version, a fully digital instrument cluster (top-end variant), a wireless phone charger, connected car features, and more.
Tata Punch EV will also be offered in two variants: Standard Range or Medium Range (MR) variant and a Long Range (LR) variant. The Standard Range variant would get a smaller battery pack, while the Long Range would offer more driving range. The MR version would use a 25 kWh battery pack, expected to provide around 330 km range. The LR version will get a 35 kWh battery pack, offering around 460 km of range. This micro SUV supports fast charging and would be offered with 3.3 kW wall box charger and 7.2 kW fast home charger options. Like the Harrier and Nexon, the all-new Punch EV will also be available in 5 personas: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+.
