This Saturday is Bring Your Own Cup Day at 7-Eleven

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Can you think of a creative way to ring in the annual Bring Your Own Cup Day at 7-Eleven? Just make sure whatever you choose is clean and won’t leak all over so you can get as much Slurpee in your “cup” as possible.

Bring Your Own Cup Day (BYOC) is happening this year on Saturday, April 13. You can find a 7-Eleven near you online.

During the yearly event, 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes customers can bring and fill their own container instead of using the store cup for only $1.99.

Have a clean sand castle bucket sitting around? Maybe someone will bring in a fish bowl, hopefully it’s clean, or a milk jug, or maybe an empty peanut butter jar or old Halloween bucket that’s ready to be filled to the brim with frozen goodness. Did you think about bringing your blender or a coffee pot?

Classic flavors always available, cup or no “cup” — Coca-Cola, Cherry, Blue Raspberry and Pina Colada, along with limited-time flavors available now like Chili Mango, Fanta Dragonfruit Zero, Mountain Dew Pitch Black and vitaminwater xxx Zero.

The convenience chain asks that whatever you choose to bring fits in their 10 inch cutout in-store displays so that they know it will fit under the drink dispenser. The “cup” you choose for Bring Your Own Cup Day also has to be clean, watertight, leak-proof and must fit upright in the display.

“BYOC Day is a time-honored tradition at 7-Eleven that we look forward to each year,” said Dennis Phelps, Senior Vice President, Merchandising (Vault and Proprietary Beverages) at 7-Eleven. “We love seeing our customers – of all ages – bring their imagination and creativity to life while enjoying our beloved Slurpee drink.”

If you’re feeling a Slurpee but don’t want to bring your own cup, rewards members can snag a large Slurpee for $1.
