Two arrested for alleged online dating robbery

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Guilderland Police Department reported that it arrested Kristina Eaves, 22, of Buffalo, and Lawrence Colbert, 26, of Buffalo, on Saturday concerning an alleged robbery. Eaves was charged with first-degree robbery and petit larceny while Colbert was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree menacing, and petit larceny.
The police say the victim was allegedly robbed after going to meet a woman he met on a dating app at a hotel in Guilderland. Police report that when the victim entered the hotel room the woman was allegedly pointing what appeared to be a handgun at the victim demanding money with another man in the room.
The victim allegedly used a payment app to give the woman money and contacted the police after leaving the room. Police say they found the suspects in the hotel room after evacuating the adjacent rooms as a precaution.
The suspects were arraigned in the Town of Guilderland Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility. Colbert was remanded without bail and Eaves had a set bail of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
