UCL: Chukwueze’s Wonder Strike Earns Milan Comeback Win Vs Newcastle, Europa Ticket

Just seconds after coming on Samuel Chukwueze scored brilliant goal to secure a 2-1 comeback win for AC Milan against Newcastle United in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League in Group F, Completesports.com reports.
Unfortunately, it was not enough as Milan could only finish third and earn a spot in the Europa League.
The Italian giants needed PSG to lose against Borussia Dortmund to stand a chance of going through.
But the Ligue 1 champions played out a hard fought 1-1 draw in Germany to finish second.
Dortmund topped the group on 11 points, PSG and Milan ended on eight points but the French giants advanced on goals difference while Newcastle finished bottom on five points.
Joelinton had given Newcastle United the lead in the 33rd minute before Christian Pulisic equalized for Milan on 59 minutes.

Chukwueze, who came on in the 83rd minute, finished off a counter attack, as he curled the ball into the far top corner to put Milan 2-1 ahead.
In Group H, Alhassan Yusuf provided an assist to help Royal Antwerp beat Barcelona 3-2 in Belgium.
Another Nigerian also in action for Antwerp was Chidera Ejuke, who was later replaced on 79 minutes.
Yusuf set up his teammate to put Antwerp 2-1 ahead in the 56th minute.
It was Antwerp’s first and only win in the group as they finished bottom.
Barcelona had already qualified for the round of 16 going into the game against the Belgian champions.
Porto finished second in the group after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 5-3 with Zaidu Sanusi in action.
