Yousaf took ‘panicked’ call with in-laws in Gaza

First Minister Humza Yousaf tells the BBC, with his voice breaking, about a phone call from his mother-in-law who is stuck in Gaza.
Elizabeth El-Nakla and her husband, Maged, had travelled to the south of the Palestinian enclave last week to see a sick relative.
Mr Yousaf said he received a panicked call from her at 01:00 when neighbours believed there was going to be an imminent strike – which turned out to be a false alarm.
He reiterated his calls for humanitarian aid to be allowed into the region and for a ceasefire.
