[ad_1]
2024 is going to be an exciting year for the largest SUV manufacturer in India – Mahindra Automotive. The company is gearing up to launch a number of new SUVs in the country. If you are one of the Mahindra fans and want to know which of these new SUVs will be launched next year, then you are at the right place. Here’s the list of all Mahindra SUVs coming next year.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
One of the first vehicles to be launched by Mahindra will be the facelifted iteration of the XUV300 sub-compact SUV. Most likely, the launch will take place around March of 2024. Over the last few months, test mules of this SUV have been spotted on multiple occasions. It has been noted that the new facelift will come with a brand new front fascia, inspired by the BE.09 EV SUV. It will also get a redesigned rear end as well as a completely revamped interior. As for the powertrain side of things, the company will not be offering any new engine options and will continue with the same ones as the outgoing model.
Mahindra XUV400 Facelift
The XUV400 EV SUV, which rivals the Tata Nexon EV, is based on the XUV300 facelift. Just like the XUV300 facelift, this SUV will also get a new front fascia, but it will boast a different closed-off grille as it’s an EV SUV. Both XUV300 and XUV400 will also be getting ADAS features, as test mules have been seen with sensors and radars for these driver assistance features. The XUV400 facelift will also be launched soon after the XUV300 facelift has been launched. Similarly, the XUV400 facelift will also continue to offer the same EV drivetrain as the outgoing model.
Mahindra Thar Five-Door
One of the most highly anticipated SUVs of next year is the Thar five-door. This more practical version of the lifestyle off-roader will be launched around the month of June 2024. It will come equipped with two extra doors and an increased wheelbase to accommodate a new middle row. The Thar five-door will also get an updated interior with a bigger touchscreen, sunroof, dashcam, and a few other features. Most powertrain options will most likely remain the same as the three-door Thar. However, at the moment, it has not been revealed if the five-door Thar will come with the 1.5-litre engine or not.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus
Another one of the most popular models from Mahindra, which is the Bolero, will be getting a new model. The company will be launching the Bolero Neo Plus, which is essentially the TUV300 Plus. The company will be offering this new extended model in 7 and 9 seat layouts. It will be targeting tier 2 cities and rural areas with this new SUV. Reports have stated that it will come powered by a 2.2L diesel engine. This is the same engine that we currently see powering the popular Scorpio-N. However, in the Bolero Neo Plus, it will be tuned down. Most likely, it will be making around 120 bhp of power and come paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Bolero Neo Plus could be making its debut around April of next year.
Mahindra XUV.e8
Last but not least, the all-electric version of the immensely popular Mahindra XUV700 – the XUV.e8, will be launched near the end of 2024. The XUV.e8 will boast the same silhouette as the XUV700; however, it will come with a much more futuristic-looking design with new LED headlights and LED DRLs and a closed-off front grille. It will most likely also get a connecting light in the middle as well. On the side profile, it will get a set of brand new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV.e8 will come equipped with an 80 kWh battery pack and an all-wheel-drive configuration with a dual-motor setup. According to reports, this powertrain will be able to generate a maximum of 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The XUV.e8 will be the first all-electric vehicle from the XUVe platform. This SUV will be directly competing with the Tata Harrier and Safari EVs.
Other upcoming models: Mahindra BE.05
Mahindra will be launching its new BE (Born Electric) range of EVs in India starting with the first model – BE.05 EV SUV. This model will be launched in October 2025. Its test mule was recently spotted near Mahindra SUV Proving Track in Chennai. BE.05 is underpinned by Mahindra’s brand-new INGLO EV skateboard platform. As per the reports, this EV SUV could come with battery sizes ranging from 60-80 kWh, capable of fast charging at up to 175 kW, enabling an 80 percent charge in less than 30 minutes. Mahindra estimates that the 80 kWh battery will deliver a driving range of approximately 435 km to 450 km under the WLTP cycle.
