5 New, Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 Rivals
[ad_1]
The Mahindra XUV700 is currently the flagship SUV from the brand. Its popularity since its launch back in 2021 has not slowed down. However, other prominent automakers in the country are now looking to give this popular SUV competition. Following is the list of all the Mahindra XUV700 rivals which will be launched in the coming period.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara seven-seater
Another of the most prominent competitors for the XUV700 will be the Maruti Grand Vitara seven-seater. This new SUV will be based on the already popular Grand Vitara hybrid compact SUV. Internally codenamed as the Y17, the company is planning to launch this SUV by 2025.
From the outside, it has been reported that it will boast the same design as the five-seater Grand Vitara. However, the main highlight will be its extended wheelbase which will allow it to accommodate a third row of seats. Most likely, it will continue with the same strong hybrid and mild hybrid powertrains.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder seven-seater
Like the already on-sale Urban Cruiser Hyryder is based on the Maruti Grand Vitara. Toyota is planning to launch a seven-seater version of the Hyryder based on the Grand Vitara seven-seater. Most likely, it will have the same distinct design as the Hyryder to differentiate it from the Maruti counterpart.
It is expected to feature the existing 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15C mild hybrid petrol engine. Along with it, the SUV will also offer the 1.5-litre three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine. This model may offer both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift
Coming to the next vehicle on the list, Hyundai is also planning to launch the Alcazar facelift. This SUV, which already competes with the XUV700, is about to get a facelift. It has been reported that it will be based on the newly facelifted Hyundai Creta like the model already on sale.
We can expect exterior and interior changes like the Creta. However, most likely there will be no powertrain changes. At the moment, the exact date for the launch of the Alcazar facelift has not been revealed by Hyundai Motors India Limited.
Renault Duster seven-seater
Another one of the most anticipated models to be launched in India is the Renault Duster’s seven-seater version. Just a few days ago, the seven-seater Duster was spotted testing. It has been reported that it will be named the “Bigster”.
This model is slated to be launched in 2025. It will be offered with a number of different powertrain options. These options include a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG unit and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit. There will also be a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol hybrid, featuring a 1.2kW battery and two electric motors.
Nissan’s Duster seven-seater based SUV
Lastly, it has been reported that Nissan will also be launching an XUV700 rival in India. The exact details about this SUV have not been revealed. However, it is known that it will be based on the same CMF-B platform as the new Duster. Most likely, it will get some exterior and interior design changes to differentiate it from the Renault SUV.
