Arteta suffers transfer setback
Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves has no interest in returning to the Premier League in January amid interest in his services from Arsenal and Newcastle.
The former Wolves maestro signed a three-year deal with Al-Hilal back in the summer after the Saudi Pro League outfit agreed to pay a whopping £47million for the playmaker. That hasn’t prevented speculation linking the Portugal international with a return to England, though.
It’s understood Arsenal are likely to enter the market for a midfielder in the winter transfer window, but they’ll have to look elsewhere as Neves is happy at Al-Hilal, who are top of the SPL.

Reminder over Havertz mistake

Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has slammed Mikel Arteta’s decision to sign Kai Havertz after the Germany star was deployed as a left-back for his country.
Havertz, who played in a variety of forward roles for Chelsea, has been played as a No.8 by Arteta since he was signed in a £65m deal in the summer but has failed to make much of an impression at the Emirates.
Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann’s decision to use Havertz as a left-back in midweek left Gallas shellshocked – and he’s now hit out at Nagelsmann and Arteta.

The France international established himself as a key player for the Gunners last term after biding his time for a first-team opportunity under Mikel Arteta and has picked up where he left off this season.
